What Is Records

RECORD?

Today in this post, i will explain based on my understanding about records. As i'am a student of record management, i used to learn about records and how to manage the record.

Do you know what is Record?
-Records is an evidence. Why? This is because, the content of the records might have their own value. Just imagine, our birth certificate lost? Do you have any evidence that stated you born on what day in what years? So, we as a human we have our own records. For example, you made a transaction money. The receipt of the transaction is one of the important records. This is because, the receipt itself contains the important information such as date, time, amount of the money and place. Even it just a receipt, with that you can use as an evidence.

The Life Cycle of Records
-Create
-Use
-Distribute
-Maintenance
-Disposition

There are 3 phase of records:
1) Active Record
2) Semi Active Record
3)Non-active Record

Record Center
-Record center is also known as organizational that manage and maintain the records.
